The new Polaris Turbo S RZR platform off the factory floor has got to be one of the most impressive machines we have had the opportunity to drive. We were given the chance to take this machine one step further by adding more power, better handling and altering the looks to turn this Highgrade RZR into a Superior SXS.
With the help of our in house fabrication company and our wonderful industry vendors we immediately went to work.
Superior Motorsports was one of the first to offer a production cage for the Polaris Turbo S. Our cages are CNC bent and fully jig welded to insure a proper fit each and every time. This particular RZR also received our optional center "V" intrusion bars and our removable automotive glass windshield. For powder coat we chose to keep the cage high gloss black and the windshield, roof and lightbar brackets Polaris Indy Red.
For side mirrors we added the incredible Sector Seven Billet LED Side Mirrors. These feature a 210 degree field of view and 14,400 lumens of intense lighting. They are by far the brightest side mirrors we have come across. In addition to the light output, the convex mirror offers a wide view to see whats behind you.
For safety and law requirements we installed a Scosche HD Universal Fire extinguisher mount. These mounts work on almost any tube size adjustable from 1.25" to 2" tube. We then installed the standard 2lb Kidde Fire Extinguisher.
For whips we went with our local high quality Whip it light rods along with there quick release bases.
Our customer loves his music, so we made sure to install the Rockford Fosgate Stage 4 audio system. This was a custom install due to the fact Rockford has yet to release the Turbo S system. Now the customer can control all his music through the on screen audio functions on the Polaris Ride Command system.
If you look closely on the outside the fenders, rockers and hood have all been custom painted by Mackin Street Customs to match the beautiful metal flake black Polaris puts on the rest of the machine. We then had Mackin Street customs paint the rear tail light shroud and doors the Polaris Indy red. The custom door graphics were designed, printed and installed in house and installed on the killer SDR Motorsports Hi-Bred RZR doors. Up front we also installed our custom Superior Motorsports front Turbo S Bumper also powdered in high gloss black.
Inside the machine we have custom stitched and heated PRP GT3 seats with the customers logo stitched in the headrest. We also did a matching suede headliner and custom door skins made in house.
For billet accessories we installed the Billet Equipped shifter and passenger grab handle as well as an Assault Industries Tomahawk steering wheel.
Inside we also have the best in communication equipped; Rugged Radios. We went with the RM60R radio with RRP600 intercom kit. To hold the headsets we installed a Joker Machine dual headset hanger.
To control the side mirrors, roof top lightbar and seat heaters we installed our standard Contura V rocker switches.
For power performance we installed the fast reliable Boondocker Dominator Turbo Kit paired with there Double Down muffler and Turbo Smart BOV. This kit really makes these cars wake up with crazy power but is also safe and reliable on pump gas to operate great from the Oregon Coast, to Glamis and the top of St. Anthony's.
To increase handling, we sent the shocks off to the masters over at Shock Therapy. We opted for the Stage 4 package which includes front & rear sway bars, internal valving changes and a full new spring kit. After test running this machine, the comparison is night and difference!
Other unique additions to this Turbo S include one of the most high tech underglow kits on the market from XK Glow. The brightness of this kit along with the color options and bluetooth app make this one of the best kits we have ever used.
For traction we used the lightweight 3 piece Aluminum Alba Racing wheels with a custom candy red powder coat finish. We wrapped the wheels in the Sandcraft 32" 10 blade ripper paddles. The tires are one of the lightest options on the market with a solid sidewall to take some abuse.
In the back you'll notice a custom Superior Motorsports Engine cover to match the color scheme. Up front we also added a set of ZRP Tie-rods to handle the abuse the customer is going to put this machine through!
After putting test miles on the machine and handing off to a thrilled customer, we couldn't be more happy with this build! Check out the video below and click on the pictures to see more.
